Welcome to IGDID

To provide a unique environment where folks who have experienced trauma can openly and safely talk. We strive to respect, validate, and learn from each other.

Achieving our goal requires cooperative collaboration amongst members and staff. Members posts remain appropriate and relevant to topics. Terms of Service are clearly posted to help members maintain the dignity of the board. Members of this group are at a stage in their healing to independently regulate their own behavior, as well as keeping themselves safe while on the forums. Staff regularly monitor posts and replies to ensure the board remains a safe and comfortable environment of learning for everyone.

As a friendly and kind community, we validate each other as equally special and significant.

These forums are active and the community not too large or too small - about 400 posts per day. There are many forums on different topics. The topics range in subject matter also. You are welcome to interact as you feel comfortable.

This is a safe place for members. We encourage building coping skills, learning from each other and material shared. We discourage sharing explicit memories of past abuse. We feel that processing memories be done with professionals. There are no practicing therapists on these forums. Therefore, topics that call for therapist type responses are discouraged.

Feel free to look around. Realize that, as a guest, your view of the forums is minimal. These forums are otherwise private to the public view and/or search engines.

We have literally hundreds of articles and provide workshops for everyone. Please feel free to email me anytime with questions. I am also providing a tutorial that should help with navigating our site.

The very best to you,
Felicity Lee

Dear Therapists / Social Workers / Advocates, Organizational Leaders and Supporters of those walking through trauma,

I am reaching out to you as I am preparing to release my new music video, Six Feet Down, the title track of my new CD.  My huge prayer and heart is that this video would reach out beyond any personal contact I may ever be able to have to help those walking through trauma, abuse, etc.  The new CD is already becoming a useful tool for therapists seeking to add a more right-brain, artistic approach to compliment the deep trauma work their clients are doing.

This video has been beta tested and we’ve had a great response to it so far.  The video is specific enough to know it’s about deeper healing and general enough for people to lay their own stories of brokenness over the top to make it their own.

This is where I could use your help!  As an independent artist  and now on a small label, we don’t have the backing of huge promo dollars to get the word out.  I am looking for 30-50 individuals / organizations who have influence and are willing to:

1.  Start talking about the upcoming video release this week to create some anticipation and excitement, and -

2.  Share this video on their websites / FB pages, Instagram, Linked in, etc

The goal is to release it all together on the same day.  I am hoping for October 1st as we have been asked to play at the 2015 International Trauma & Dissociation Conference 10/16-18 http://www.igdid.org.  (An EXCELLENT conference to attend to learn more about PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder, DID  - check out their link and register if you work with / support folks dealing with childhood trauma, severe PTSD and Dissociation, etc.)  IGDID has graciously offered to post the video on 9 different websites!

Would you consider joining them in posting the video on your website / FB page/ Instagram / Linked In / E-newsletter and / or wherever you think it would make a difference?  The more splash we can make AT THE SAME TIME the more likelihood of the video reaching a greater population.

Here is the link to the Video - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7nhUZIaiziWbktKeEdUTE9LYXM/view

Please do not share this yet, but after watching it, let me know if you would be willing to participate in getting it out where you have influence?  I will then send you the official link letting you know the day and time so that we can all do it together.
he efforts you are making to reach the broken with the hope of healing and restoration.  I look forward to hearing from you either way.  And it may be that you can share it personally if not organizationally - every bit helps!

With gratitude and excitement,

Kate White, founder
